Requirements June 1972 – February 1979
1. Within the past year, have had a health examination by a doctor licensed to practice medicine. If he told you some things to do, tell what you are doing about them.
2. a. Record your best in the following tests:
Push-ups Pull-ups Sit-ups Jump-reach Run-walk
b. Set goals to reach during the next 30 days.
c. Decide on daily exercise. Keep a record of how you are doing for the 30 days or until your goals are meet.
3. Explain the foods needed in the daily diet of a boy your age. Tell how this diet helps your body.
4. Satisfy your adult leader that you have good daily health habits.
5. Explain how the use of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs can be harmful to you.
Requirements February 1979 – February 1989
1. a. Show that within the past year you have had a health examination by a doctor licensed to practice medicine. If the doctor told you some things to do, tell what you are doing about one of them.
b. Show that you have had a dental examination within the past year.
